APR 426 will teach students the role of public relations in the Caribbean and other countries, in different contexts, and at the local, regional, national, and international level.
Working on a local Sint Maarten client, students will develop a public relations plan allowing the client to reach the global, culturally diverse audiences that visit Sint Maarten.
APR 490: Social Media Analytics for Tourism Marketing
Instructor: Dr. Jameson Hayes
APR 490 will train students to use social media analytics alongside traditional word-of-mouth and partnerships to develop actionable insights for advertising and public relations campaigns in the unique Caribbean tourism environment.
Working on a local client brand, students will first gain certifications in social media analytics research via Sprinklr, a leading social media listening and analytics platform. Next, students will apply their skills in developing social media marketing recommendations for the client.
