Water Week

uainthecaribbean

This third week was full of fun and adventure that featured not one, but two water activities. Although the trip is coming to an end, the fun is continuing to come our way.

Monday started with a great class led by Dr. Hayes. In this class we started to get a better glimpse of how Sprinklr, the software we will be using for our campaign, really works. Dr. Hayes once again showed us his prowess and expertise of this software by giving us a rundown on how it all work.

Tuesday was a day full of sun and crystal clear water since it was finally the day we got to ride the Rhinos. The Rhino tour was something that I was really looking forward to since we got to get a tour of the island while driving our own little boats. We did get a surprise when we saw actor Adam Huber, who stars in the Netflix hit Dynasty. The Rhino tour itself led us to one of the best snorkeling spots on the island, which was full of beautiful fish. The Rhino tour was another prime example of how the word of mouth is so impactful on this island. Without Marsha, the hotels excursion coordinator, we might

not have found this tour. A prime example of how the people are so important to this economy.

Wednesday was another great day of class as we continued to learn the ins and outs of Sprinklr from Dr. Hayes. In Dr. Van Dykes class we continues to have some really good discussion centered around international PR and how to handle things in the real world. With Dr. Hayes class ending early, I got to do a nice cannon ball in the pool, which you wouldn’t be able to do anywhere else.

Thursday was the day that I think we have all been waiting for…. CATAMARAN day! The catamaran was full of some early morning Rum Punch, which is socially acceptable because it has orange juice in it, which is a breakfast juice. We once again got to stop at the same snorkeling place as the Rhino tour. The catamaran had a slide in the back which was awesome. Some people snorkeled, but I was enjoying doing countless cannon balls off the top of the boat while yelling, “CANNON BALL,” at the top of my lungs.

For lunch we stopped at the Rib Shack, which is another prime example of how two companies work together to allowed tourists to have a more efficient day. The next stop was my personal favorite, which took us about 20 feet from the beach of Louis Viton’s hotel. Just in case anyone reading was wondering, it only cost $9,000/night to stay in the villa.

Friday was another great day of class as Dr. Van Dyke and Dr. Hayes both led a really interesting lectures on crisis and issues management. We watch a couple of commercials to see first-hand how companies manages their publics.

I am really looking forward to another awesome week here, and I am truly going to miss this place and these people when we leave!
