As we wrap up our third week in St. Maarten we realize how close the end is. This week we started out on Monday celebrating Memorial day! We spent the whole day at Maho listening to music, swimming, and walking along the beach to enjoy our favorite coffee shop. We ended our Monday night like we always do with karaoke. This week in class we worked on our big idea. We came up with three different options on how to promote Orient Bay. There were so many options when it came to thinking of big ideas because Orient Bay has so much to offer. The French beach is truly for all ages and anyone no matter if they want an area that is more relaxing or offers many different water sports. Once we chose our big idea this week we started formatting our campaigns book and deciding on what color theme we were going to make the book. This up coming week we will start assembling our books!

On Friday we woke up early to go to the marine. From here we sailed to the Prickly Pear. This has been the best snorkeling spot by far. There was a huge reef where we saw some of the biggest and most vibrant fish. After we snorkeled we had lunch on the boat. Then moved to our next spot in Anguilla! In Anguilla we swam in some of the most blue waters.

On Saturday I woke up early to go down to the gym and had breakfast with Piper. We then got ready and I killed time reading a book by the pool before we rode over to a different part of the island to go to Lucky Stables. At Lucky Stables we rode horses along the coast. My horse was named Vivia! During the ride our guide led us up hills while he did tricks on his horse. He stood full up and even did a headstand while his horse rode up the mountain. Lucky Stables had other animals. We also saw a pig named George. There were a lot of goats and we even saw a peacock. Seeing this many animals was definitely a first for me being from a large city. At the end of the ride we took our horses on the beach and into the ocean! These horses were very well trained and our rides went very smoothly. After we left Lucky Stables we came back to Sapphire and ended the night getting dinner with everyone who was in the group that went to the stables. I spent the rest of my night on my balcony calling family since I have not seen anyone since spring break.

Today was a relaxing Sunday spent at the pool. We have less than a week here in St. Martin. I look forward to finishing the trip doing as much as we can, but it is sad realizing some of our favorite activities like karaoke will be our last times doing it this week
